Requirements or Special Skills: The most important requirement for any of our volunteer positions is a passion for Pella! If you love our community and want to be more involved in planning and executing projects and programs that bring residents and visitors together, make them feel warmly welcome here, and contribute to our shared sense of community pride, we can use your talents!

Volunteer Position Description: Spirit of Pella was founded in 2020 as a project of PACE and we hit the ground running by raising nearly $500,000 to fund holiday lights in Central Park, the "Happy Days" and "Forever Pella" murals downtown, cafe-style tables and chairs in the Klokkenspel Plaza and Molengracht District, the "Fab Foodie Fridays" free live music series from June to October in the Klokkenspel Plaza, regular gatherings of community betterment organizations to promote collaboration and maximize efficiencies, an online "Hopes & Dreams" survey to collect community input that's shared with local leaders, and an ice rink chiller for Caldwell Park. Future plans include an Oktoberfest celebration and more interactive art like sculptures and murals, among many other possibilities under consideration. We have a need for volunteers in all areas of our work.
