Business Development
GOAL: To provide connections, education, and advocacy opportunities geared towards strengthening small business operations and success.
WHO: Members who are small business owners, managers, or company representatives who have experience with small business start-ups, business growth, and additional resources; those who can provide mentorship or assistance to others.
WHAT: Networking opportunities (both business-to-business and peer-to-peer) through leadership development, tools, and strategies.
WHEN: Third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 AM
Downtown Development
GOAL: To ensure the vitality and sustainability of the downtown Pella area with diverse business culture and engaging aesthetics.
WHO: Members who take an interest in cultivating and fostering the environment in the downtown Pella area; business owners, building owners, real estate brokers, service businesses, additional members outside of the Central Business District area.
WHAT: Support business-friendly regulations, amenities, and atmosphere through oversight of regulations, zoning, ordinances, and the overall environment of the downtown Pella area.
WHEN: Fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 AM
Economic Development
GOAL: To create private and public partnerships that encourage economic growth.
WHO: Members (especially those from larger employers) or individuals with experience in financing, developing, and marketing of commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
WHAT: Create partnerships, between private and public entities, with a direct focus on housing, infrastructure, land availability, and the future expansion of Pella.
WHEN: As needed
Workforce Development
GOAL: To attract and retain a quality workforce in the Pella area and serve as a resource for these new employees.
WHO: Members who work for employers, the education community, and other businesses in the Pella area interested in filling employment vacancies and attracting workforce.
WHAT: To serve as a resource to employers, residents, and future employees, diversity initiatives, and workforce retention.
WHEN: Second Thursday of the month at 7:00 am
